As Managing Director, he has been responsible for the development of Barr’s construction business with particular emphasis on leisure and retail sectors. Barclay is currently responsible for a divisional turnover in excess of £250m

Ron MacDonald Group Finance Director

Ron is an experienced business manager whose roles for the last fifteen years have involved managing rapid growth and major changes in structure. The natures of the companies in which he has worked have required him to take on responsibilities in addition to that of managing the finance function. Ron plays a significant part in the management team and particularly the setting and achieving of objectives

Sandy Milligan Group Technical Director

Sandy has been with Barr for over twenty five years, initially as Chief Surveyor before becoming Head of Barr’s Technical Services Division. As Director, Sandy is responsible for estimating, architectural and engineering design, planning, marketing and purchasing. In this role, Sandy has been involved in the bidding and negotiation for all major projects undertaken by Barr in the last fifteen years.

Ronnie Clark Commercial Director, Technical Services

Ronnie has just recently returned to Barr after an absence of 6 years and has worked with several of the industry’s leading players. As a member of the Barr Limited Board, Ronnie will assist in all functions carried out by Barr Technical Services.

Bill Campbell LLB. Director of Personnel/ Health & Safety

Bill joined Barr in 2000 following a very successful career in the Police Service. Initially he was Deputy Managing Director in Barr’s Facilities Management Division before becoming Director of Personnel for the Group in 2001. In this role, Bill is responsible for not only the Human Resource functions but also the Health & Safety and Quality teams

Bill first joined Barr in 1993 having responsibility for major projects, Bill progressed on to the role of Commercial Director. After a spell away he returned to Barr once again as Commercial Director and was also promoted to the Barr Limited Board as a Director. Bill is responsible for all Commercial and Contractual matters in the Construction Division.

Gordon Eccleston Retail Director

Gordon is the Managing Director for Barr’s Tesco account and is responsible for effective management and profitability of all their contracts throughout the UK. He joined Barr in 1997 and was promoted to the Board of Barr Limited in 2007.

Paul Griffen Divisional Director

Paul joined Barr in 1997, initially as a Project Manager. In 2005, Paul was promoted to Unit Director managing projects in Barr’s Retail Framework before joining the Board of Barr Limited in 2008 as Divisional Director. Paul’s responsibilities now include the management of Barr’s Sainsburys account as well as various regional projects throughout the country.

Willie joined Barr in 2007 as Director responsible for Special Projects and is now a member of the Main Barr Limited Board. He has over thirty years experience in the construction industry with an extensive track record in major projects.

Bill Fraser Unit Director

Bill has over thirty years experience in the Construction industry and joined Barr in 1997. Most of the projects delivered by Bill in the last decade have been design and build projects in the stadia and leisure sectors. The level of repeat business from many of these Clients is testament to the skills and leadership of Bill and the Stadia & Leisure Unit Team.

Duncan MacKillop Chief Engineer

Duncan has extensive experience in the construction and civil engineering sectors. He returned to Barr in 2008 having previously worked with Barr Limited between 1997 and 2002. Duncan heads up the in-house Civil and Structural Engineering Department.
