Key Features: Moveable floor within Myrtha pool, heat recovery systems, solar panels, district heating supply.

The project comprises of the complete refurbishment and new extension to the existing Carnegie Leisure Centre. The scope of works involves a complete strip out to bare shell, take down of most internal walls, reconstruction of all roofs, insertion of a new 2 storey steel structure within an existing building and the formation of a new high level plantroom structure. The key features include a new steel ‘Myrtha’ style training pool and complete refurb of the other 2 existing swimming pools with the provision of entirely new filtration systems. Other provisions include a new sports hall, dry change, village change, aerobics studio, combat room, gymnasium, climbing wall, health suite and main feature entrance reception/café area. Externally, the existing building fabric is being completely upgraded and includes stonework remedials, window refurbishment, re-slating all roofs, insulated render systems and over cladding of flat roofs with a single ply membrane system.
