The New £15m Girvan Community Hospital is located at Bridgefield on the northern outskirts of

The new facility comprises of

• Inpatient Block of 14 single & 6 double bedrooms

• GP consulting rooms and admin accommodation

• Pharmacy, Catering & Dining area

• Rehabilitation Block including a Gymnasium and physiotherapy

The building is generally single storey split into blocks that fan out from an adjoining feature curved

link corridor. There is a two story section which provides further office accommodation. The entire complex is surrounded by feature landscaping and courtyards between the blocks. External, other works comprise of car parking, access road, soft and hard feature landscaping.

In addition the project includes measures such as a wind turbine to generate electricity and

biomass fuelled boilers for heating. A rainwater harvesting system is also in place to minimise water usage.
