Kirkintilloch Initiative. This is made up of Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS & East Dunbartonshire Council.
The building is situated on the edge of leafy Woodhead Park and adjacent to Woodhead Parks nature corridor with exceptional views over the park and the Campsies.
The facility is spread over 3 floor with the ground floor covering all of the public services ranging from district nursing, health visiting, podiatry, physiotherapy, speech & language therapy, family planning, GP services, dental services and social care. It will also offer specialist services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
The building features modern conference facilities with audio-visual aids and the top two floors will be used by the NHS and local authority employees
Internally in addition to as noted above in the project summary the key features also include a gym, central feature light well, large open plan office area including formal and informal meeting rooms/areas. Externally the building features a combination of traditional and modern construction materials ranging from stone blockwork and render to copper/aluminium cladding and architectural feature roof/wall windows and curtain walling.
