Commissioned by a partnership set up between NHS Ayrshire & Arran and East Ayrshire Council, the new Centre provides a focal point for a wide range of community services including:-
General practitioners (GPs)
Community dental services
Hospital outpatient clinics
Podiatry services
Facilities for community groups
Mental health services
Nursery and family centre
Physiotherapy
Sports facilities
Childrens services
Construction work involved the refurbishment of two existing buildings and their incorporation into the main new build structures. A timber kit with a rendered brick solution together with a standing seam metal roof was selected for the main buildings. Landscaped courtyards were incorporated into the design as was soft play areas for the nursery children.
