This project is a mixed use, retail and residential, project for Tesco Stores Limited. The project was won by competitive tender and consists of a Format 50 store on stilts, 24 residential units and a highways package.
The contract was awarded in December 2009 and there are several large public utitity contracts as the first packages to be progressed. The main works started on site in March 2010 and will continue until April 2011.

The store itself is steel framed with precast units forming the sales floor and mezzanine levels. The roof is quite a complex structure with several substantial north lights to introduct natural light into the store footprint. The residential units are of timber frame construction supported on a steel and precast podium. Works are complicated by the fact that the Great Western canal runs along the south perimeter of the site.
