Environmental Policy

Barr Construction is a company operating throughout the U.K. with our headoffice facility based in Central Scotland. We are committed to managingenvironmental aspects in a responsible manner to minimise our impact onthe environment by maintaining and operating an environmentalmanagement system which complies with the requirements of ISO14001:2004.

Our environmental policy is to:

• achieve environmental best practice throughout our businessoperations
• continually develop our methods and systems to ensure that resourcesare used efficiently, waste is minimised and pollution is prevented
• comply with or exceed all applicable legal requirements
• meet or exceed the requirements of other stakeholders

This will be achieved by:

• senior management setting and communicating high levelenvironmental targets and objectives
• monitoring our progress and learning from the results
• reporting our progress, achievements and weaknesses
• training our staff to achieve high standards of management
• being prepared for emergency situations
• reviewing the environmental management system and implementingopportunities for continual improvement

The responsibility for the implementation of this policy lies with the Managing Director
