Sustainable Procurement Policy

Barr Construction is a company operating throughout the U.K. with our headoffice facility based in Central Scotland. We are committed to operating ourcompany in a responsible and ethical manner.

Our sustainable procurement policy is to:

• procure goods or services that take into account the environmental,social and economic impact throughout their entire lifecycle
• purchase local products and services where possible
• comply with or exceed all applicable legal requirements
• meet or exceed the requirements of other stakeholders

This will be achieved by:

• actively promoting environmental awareness throughout our supplychain
• encouraging partnership agreements with like minded suppliers andsubcontractors who operate under a certified EMS
• including sustainability issues as part of our subcontractorprocurement process
• using a quantifiable methodology to establish a product’ssustainability credentials
• monitoring and reporting our progress, achievements and weaknesses
• ensuring timber products are sourced from a legal source

The responsibility for the implementation of this policy lies with the Managing Director
