Barr Construction understands that people are our most valuable resource, and we firmly believe that every member of the team has something positive to contribute to our business. That is why Barr has an extensive training programme in place for all employees.

We actively encourage individuals to pursue further professional or vocational qualifications and routinely organise seminars and workshops with other organisations on specialist topics.

Barr is particularly proud of our commitment to Health & Safety and our training programme ensures that all personnel have regular safety instruction. In addition, all senior project management and supervisory staff possess formal safety qualifications.

Barr is an accredited CITB training provider and operates a training centre at our registered offices in Killoch, East Ayrshire. The training centre is qualified to run 9 SQA certifications in plant training under the Construction Plant Competence Scheme rules and is accredited for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme training. In addition the training centre is registered for LGV drivers’ accreditation under the Drivers CPC Scheme and level 1 for Health, Safety & Environmental best practice by the British Safety Council.
