The £10m Arran High School has been designed to meet the needs of pupils, parents and the community for many years to come. The new school has been built immediately behind the existing school on the grass playing field in front of the Community Centre. Designed by Keppie Architects with Parsons Brickenhoff, the School, is a two storey building with a slate pitched roof. The wall finishes are a mixture of glass, timber, blockwork and render. Among the facilities is a Community Theatre/ Assembly Hall with raked motorised seating. Full provision has been made for the disabled.
