Location: Conon Bridge, Dingwall
Project Start: September 2011
Project End: December 2012
The Highland Council has appointed Barr Construction to carry out the redevelopment work Conon Bridge School. Works commence in September 2011 and will continue until December 2012. The upgraded school will provide teaching accomodation for both Conon Bridge and the neighbouring Maryburgh area children. Nusrery acccommodation will also be provided along with a number of community areas.
This is a ten classroom primary school with the classrooms arranged in two wings perpendicular to the main wing of the building creating the external courtyard and playground spaces. The main wing fronts on to the main access and acts as part of the secure barrier to the playgrounds and the rest of the school. Contained within this wing are the nursery, wrap-a-round care, library, admin, community, dining, kitchen and sports facilities.
