Green Rigg Wind Farm, Northumberland

The proposed Green Rigg Wind Farm is located approximately 8.5 km east of the village of Belingham, Northumberland and 18km north of Hexham, Northumberland.

The owner of the project shall be EDF-ER. The wind farm is to be built on upland fringe grazing land leased by the project owner from 2 land owners.

The land is ecologically and archaeologically sensitive for which specialist Clerks of Works have been appointed to support the construction team and ensure compliance with regulated requfrerr)enk- A high pressure ethylene pipeline crosses the site and requires protection to ensure its integrity to reflect the change of use of the land from agricultural to joint Wind Farm and agriculture.
